Eating On The Go?

I was at the grocery store, roaming around the produce section. A man in dark blue pants, navy jacket, and navy blue knit watch cap caught my attention, when he picked up a pinkish orangish nectarine from the pinkish orangish nectarine pile. He brought the pinkish orangish nectarine to his mouth, bit in, chewed, then rested the remainder on the pile before taking off. Could this be a new version of eating on the go? Or a display of performance art? Either way, I decided I didn’t need any nectarines today.

I am a rather obscure 14th C. poet, whose work has been translated into over thirty dialects of gibberish. I now spend my days translating from the gibberish into English and back again, as need be.

  1. Ooooh! A nectarine snatcher! I like your witty comments. I’ve seen customers munching on grapes taken from grape displays. Tsk, Tsk!
No bad behavior yet at the chocolate bar displays.Crinkly unwrapping would sound an alert.

  2. I agree with lilyalfred’s comments. It never ceases to amaze me what people do in the fruit section.. I’ll bet he’s the person who also takes these single bites out of the best chocolates in the box and then puts the bitten chocolate carefully back so the bite doesn’t show!
