The Geometry of Chocolate

Was it an equilateral triangle? I angled in for a closer look at the milk chocolate triangle that dangled from my fingers. Or isosceles? Could I apply the Pythagorean Theorem? I examined the triangle from every angle.

Acute angles? Obtuse angles? Right angles? Eating the chocolate triangle, an offshoot from my partner’s giant-sized Toblerone bar, seemed like the right angle to take.

As I enjoyed the milk chocolate with honey and nougat triangle, I wished my tenth grade math teacher had taught not by chalk on blackboard example, but instead by chocolate in hand sample. Geometry had never tasted or smelled so good.
