This year I received eight calendars in the mail. Eight for 2018. I’m keeping two, including one from my delightful pen pal. You do the math–that leaves six. I have a calendar conundrum, and my New Year’s Resolution is to figure out what to do with my many calendars. Anyone feeling calendar-deprived? I am willing to share my calendar wealth. Or if you have other bright ideas, please drop me a line or a date to insert into my calendar. Happy New Year!
I don’t usually make New Year’s Resolutions, but things have been so difficult lately, what with my sock disappearing, that I had to do something.
What’s been going on can be summed up in two words: major chaos. Why, I turned my life upside down to search for my sock.
First, I tried calling for it by name: “Come here, Little Sock, come along now.” When that didn’t work out, I triple-checked the laundry room and took everything off the bed.
I was running out of places to look and then … an idea popped into my head. I decided to empty out my sock drawer.
In the process, I found it, a little rumpled, a little wrinkled, looking like it had just woken up. It wondered what all the fuss was about.
What a relief for its mate…as well as the entire sock community.
As for me, I feel grateful to be starting the New Year on the right foot.
